Early Sunday Morning.
Crowned Heads Las Mareas 4.5x48.
Intended to smoke a larger cigar, but heavy rain put paid to that, burned this excellent shorter one wiyh a good bit of age on it, so worked out Ok after all.
I'm in the process of trying to correct the imbalance of NC's to Havanas in My meager inventory. Finding it hard do do, I'd set two goals to be met by a deadline,accomplished the first but time quickly running out on the cigar goal. Already kicking self after three weeks without a Havana, cant smoke one on Birthday unless burn thru the excess number of NCs quickly. Yeah like New Years resolutions set goals can bite one when missed. Never would've thought I'd be missing Smoking Monkeys help. But,heck that fine lad (SM) and, His Girlfriend have fond Paradise with Droy. Any one else notice the silence of late from Droy? Hmmmmm.
By the side, the Rum ain't none too bad this Wither.

It has been a while since I’ve had the Encore but I don’t recall it being a favorite. I prefer the pledge to the encore but I prefer la historia to the pledge.

La Historia is on my list to try, good to hear the high praise! I will say the Encore has been one of my favorites so far- as they say, different strokes. AF Don Carlos 80th Anniversario Personal Reserve Robusto
Have loved all the others of these I have had, but this one was extremely bitter and really lingered on the tongue.
Draw,burn and construction were perfect as usual, but the taste of this one was just terrible.
No idea what the cause is.
Sucks to have the first Cigar of the day be something you anticipated greatness from, only to get a serious dud
