Lindqvist is one heck of a good writer.

Book & Cigar should go well/make a good pair.
So far - great book. First read by him for me, but I'm liking his style here - modern horror, doesn't draw-out things, easy to follow, vulgar, and raw. It's definitely an adult read with...dark and dirty situations (I'll keep it at that). Check out the movie with the same title - "Let the Right One In" - ESPECIALLY the Swedish version. American version is ok, but do yourself a favor and look for the other.

Matthew, Weirdly I wrote that there were two versions of the book, and that the original in Swedish was really good but that the Amercan remake stunk. And here You are with the same take on the Movies.Deleted that part since I figured the post would be too long, and have far little ref to Smoking. NowI didn't watch the American movie, but did not need to since I knew it would be lousy, have been by a couple of people that they could not even watch the that it (on You tube ) to the end.
I've everything that Lindqvist has written, in English trans. All His books available from UK at better price than here and super fast shipping. BY the wayside.....is there a non Maduro version of the Asylum Schizo ?

Yes, a natural is available and for around $3. I'll toss a review up for it somewhat soon but the overall - had a twang in the first 1/3 that's kinda metallic, kinda light for a maduro, solid throughout, little pepper and spice in the retrohale, 2/3-3/3 the twang melds better. I'd get another for sure and would like to try the natural.

What's my next read by Lindqvist - preferably horror?

Matthew, I think first up...Little Star, esp since the Covid isolation/lockdown and the risk of such for young kids/children
Then: Let the Old Dreams Die.
Then: I Am Behind You .
Lindqvist does Horror & Magic ver well.

Thanks for the info on the Asylum Schizo think I'll look around for Natural.

    Matthew,
Remember talking about the movie with a librarian who told me that ,the childrens librarian, a woman took His recommendation for the Movie and said Her teenage ,14 or 15 years of age,Daughter thoroughly enjoyed watching it. A Young Adult I guess.
