Continuing my journey through the La Aurora Pack from Light to Dark. (From Thursday)

Next up in the La Aurora series is the Ecuador (Emerald) Preferido Robusto.

After yesterday's debacle, I'm a bit cautious going into this one. Snip the cap and the draw is good - ok, things are looking up!

This is definitely a different cigar being the first one with some spice to it of the line. Damnit thought if this thing doesnt have a bit of that off-taste "plasticy" note to it. I continued on, thinking it might be in my head from yesterday. Two thirds through and I'm done - just not enjoying it and life's too short for this.

Happy Friday All! Friday brings and end to my La Aurora experiment.
Completing my journey through the La Aurora Pack from Light to Dark.

Last in the La Aurora series is the Maduro (Ruby) Preferido Robusto.

Gotta admit and this point my enthusiasm for this trip has dwindled. This Maduro wrapper has a vein running down the back of it the size of a toothpick so I'm already shaking my head.

Ah, but then that sweet Maduro goodness comes through. All is not lost. Going to finish this off then go humidor diving later for a zoom happy hour.

A little rest might have helped that issue. Sometimes there’s still some ammonia left if it wasn’t completely fermented out. You might try dry boxing the rest for a couple days prior to smoking.

If you can try out a 107 maduro and the 100 anos. La Aurora does not get enough love if you ask me.
