2013 La Gloria de Cubana Series R (big robusto, ~5-1/2" x 55-rg).
Warm night (54 degrees) for the season and the cigar is very good with some Wolfgang A.M.

Such a well made, reliable smoke. Tasty to.

My first one of these.

Ok, that thing was good. The Salomon size that I had lasted just shy of 3 hours. Granted I am a very slow smoker. No re-lights, tons of smoke. A very good maduro smoke. I'd love to try these in a robusto or toro if my B&M has any left.
Ave Maria
Went to the shop this afternoon. Had a Fume d'Amour first, then this one.

After some searching and digging,(Thanks Again), I found that Cuba Libra that was calling. My wife has gotten spoiled with the pipe tobacco's and kicked me out, not of the house just the back room.My living room now has that Wonderful aroma of a cigar lounge. I liked that stick and look forward to burning up the rest, even if I have to go stand in the rain.
2012 Padron Churchill.
Like a tasty beaujolais, served in a tin cup. Underfilled and construction is barely adequate, below the quality of the leaf and the reputation of the brand. I'm not fighting it yet but the poor flag may become a problem. La Gloria Series R is comparable in taste, smoother and less coarse (coarse isn't a bad thing) but the construction makes it a joy to smoke.

First go at a CAO tonight, paired with a little Glenfiddish 12. Really enjoying the scotch, the cigar may need a little more time in the wineador for the remainder of the 5 pack but not too bad as it is.

I can't believe it's December. It's 58F and it's very comfortable sitting outside, so I'm smoking something special. :stogie:

@NeverBend , I definitely agree with you on Serie R. Never had one I didn't enjoy greatly.
Just smoked a cheap Maduro (forgot the brand) with some Casa Noble tequila. Really nice pair. Will have to explore blanco tequila with more maduros...
Southern Draw Firethorn...6.5x60 May have said this before, and if that's the case, it certainly deserves the resaying...the maker claims a Perfect Draw, every time...and delivers on that promise. Construction right there with the best, once lit,and lighting is easy as can be all you've to do is enjoy the fine cigar. This is the largest ring gauge of the Firethorn cigars, there are no soft spots nor the slightest hint of an uneven burn at any point. This was the last of the group George Bowman sent me.Time to hunt some more of them down. Thanks Geo.
Edit: Late posting. This was a Sunday afternoon smoke.

La Aurora Legends series. Not too bad, but as I am just getting over a cold, I'm sure my palate is somewhat desensitized.
Intemperance EC XVIII Charity great cigar in spite of the forty degree temp outside!

Anyone care for a DogRocket
http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...pszv47ticx.jpg
Would venture to hazard a guess as to why, maybe, perhaps.
(Most certainly Sir Dog Rockets due to his immense responsibilities of overseeing the kingdom of GURKHA lit this "odd" cigar without first examining it properly)
Only needed to turn it over before lighting to determine the cigar's true gender.
Sadly, now too late for pix.

2013 Obsidian Double Perfecto with Diet Pepsi and Mozart Piano COncerto #21, (Elvira Madigan).
Age has helped these become a good smoke. Filled well, if a little out of round, but it burns perfectly. Very nice in the mouth because the taper is gradual. In a nice way, it tastes like a Merlot poured over a leather belt that was on the ground overnight. Medium body, good smoke volume, smooth, consistent with a (bit) lighter snork that has a touch of spice. I either have a box of these, and if not, then I may have a single, wish I had more. Best Pinar product I've tried.
