While on South Padre Island I found they had a cigar shop. But when I looked them up I found a lot of bad reviews about the service and the prices. I wasn’t even sure if they rolled any of their own so instead I looked at what the convenient liquor store had and picked up a few sticks.

I’ve never seen this one before, and being 33x5 was a bit intriguing as I like some of the smaller cigars from Nat Sherman and CAO. This was just under $4 but figure that’s partly Island pricing.

I always thought Don Diegos' were cheapies (swisher and Antony and Cleopatra type of cheapies), but turns out that one in specific is around 4 to 5 dollars per stick online so you just got a deal. How was it?

I honestly felt like the first draw tasted like cigarettes do when you’ve quit for a period of time and then smoke one (I often wondered what I was thinking many of those times but kept putting anyway). But after that it mellowed out nicely. I wouldn’t say it was a $4 smoke though. The Nat Sherman Point Fives and CAO Karats are much better and half that price, though they are just 4” long and 34/38 ring. I’d buy them again if the price was similar enough though.

No. 33 of my cab. They’re at about a year’s rest now. Just delightful.
