Indeed! If you like that, I'd suggest the Underground Shade.

CBid accidentally sent me one of those about a year ago. I’m not a big fan of Dominican cigars, so I seized the opportunity and traded it on a Facebook Cigar page and got about 6 boutiques, including Mi Queridas, a Las Calaveras and a Tatuaje Black. Im still curious about them, but $20+ is a little crazy. I’d much rather smoke some kind of Padron Anni.

I've yet to smoke a Davidoff that was worth the price of admission. Good quality construction no doubt, but in the favor department there's a lot to be desired.

That's the MO for nearly every Dominican cigar I've smoked. Obviously, there's some Fuentes that I really enjoy, but that's about it.

I wouldn't say all Donenicans, after all there's been a lot of quality sticks (and good tobacco) coming from there, but I do agree that as a whole they tend to still blend like they just left Cuba and trying to compete with the island when in reality their main competion comes from the southern side of the equator. I don't know why that is, but I sure wound like if more preferidos-like cigars would come out so their price would go back down to about $8.

Perhaps it was just a dud, but the La Reloba I had via cbid a few months back was awful. Now won't even touch the sumatra version I bought it with.
