did some investigation of his own. What say you G ?
Did you say last one and you need some more ???
I'm good buddy, I have some resting in the humi already!
Tonight:
Camacho ABA Robusto w/ some Colombian coffee & '81 Dead.
Really liked these as well as all the other Camachos I have tried so far, though the Triple Maduro Corojo & this one stand out the most.

Not exactly a tat, but I'm counting it. By the way, I wouldn't be able to tell if this thing wasn't Cuban in a blind taste. Maybe it's the aging (look at that cello), but there's so much of that particular taste. Very interesting.

I paired it with an Elijah Craig small batch and I think the buttery-sweet drink really enhanced my enjoyment of the pepper.
Great, so now I need to investigate the Shade ??? I'll get on that

Late late night cigar. Cabaiguan Robusto Extra...5.2x 50. Just a bit hard to draw on at first...after a relight and a few puffs producing very little smoke, smoke production went well up. Burn line while never close to super sharp was not too bad, last two thirds or so very nice in every way, retrohale etc.
Burn time. An Hour Sixteen Minutes.

Nearly 40 degrees outside - Woohoo! I have a little sun, some decent coffee light and a 5-Vegas Alpha (torpedo).
And, a Good Morning to you Pete.
Almost sixteen hours late, but it is Morning again.
Smoked some of the Vegas Cubanas toros back then.
Vegas Cubanas were the first Pepin made cigars I smoked and my favourite as well.
Was really sorry when production was stopped. Had I been paying attention would have tried to grab at least a few boxes.
Very happy to learn they'd be coming back. Picked up two boxes as quickly as I could, now abot a fifth of the way through my fourth box.
Maybe they were dropped from production once Garcia started making for so many others.
Most likely I'm wrong, as usual;, but I always figured that Pepin Garcia tried for the taste of a Cuban cigar with the Earlier Vegas Cubanas. They had that Cubanesque taste for me, whereas his other lines tended to be "heavier" stronger? and tending towards the larger ring gauges that had taken over, here in the USA, during the boom years.
Don't trust my 'taste memory' enuff to say the newest iteration of the V. C. matches the earlier but it suits me.
If I had to pick one non Cuban cigar as the only one I could have, day in day out. This Vegas Cubanas would get the nod.
Wouldn't be able to smoke as many if they were double the price, but would still be smoking them.
Cheers,
