Had a Padron 1964 Family Reserve last night. Wouldn't stay lit, uneven burn, bitter. It had about a year of rest on it. I wonder if these need to be smoked right away? Last few had several months of rest & were sensational. Still have one more left. Now I am thinking that one will suck balls too. This is why I rarely buy $30 cigars

2013 Oliva "G" Robusto with Dr. Brown's Diet Black Cherry.

Cigar is poorly made, wrapper starting to crack and burning like a twig (near halfway done in 10 minutes). Taste is fair. A mediocre bundle quality.
    Very disappointing.

    later..
2013 Oliva "G" Robusto with Dr. Brown's Diet Black Cherry.

A redux with a much better cigar, improved in every way but the inconsistency between the same cigar, in the same package is striking.

Usually if I have Anniversary Series I smoke them ASAP, the x000 series can be better with a year or two but thats about it. Just my 2 cents.

From what I hear Padrons do smoke better without any real rest/age on them. There was a post referencing an article that said Padron ages their cigars before the put them on the market.

    2013 Saison (Oliva) Robusto.

Working my way through this new bundle and this is better than the Oliva branded sticks.
