Lost no more
Quesada Reserva riovada...4.75x54, first of these this month for me.
Usually smoke 2-3 cigars pay, but only had a My Father #1 Robusto yesterday.
After so much time since last smoke I'll be trying to see if I can sense any flavor transitions while smoking this cigar.
The size of this Quesada Reserva Privada reminds me of the same sized Compay that Camacho produced fora short while.
Camacho tried to get as close as they could to the Cuban Compay, which was a Cohiba limited run, think it was Cohiba made to honor
Compay Segundo who was a roller at the Cohiba factory, but of course noted for his music, especially as a member of the Buena Vista Socal Club.
He was only rarely pictured not smoking a cigar other than when performing,on stage or in the Buena Vista Social Club movie.
Once Ry Cooder "found", re- assembled this group of greatly talented music makers, who had been virtually forgotten outside their native Cuba.
No Camacho cigar I've smoked came at all close to their Compay.
While the Quesada Reserva Privada is I think a good cigar, it does fall well short of the Camacho version of the Compay.
That is one of very few cigars I do wished I'd rested/aged boxes of.

You can find them on the devil site for a couple bucks a stick. Great value.
Yes, it was very nice. Definitely no Cuban, but rich, complex, smoky, burned well. Leather & hardwood notes, with some sweetness.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.
