Early Sunday smoke...My Father Connecticut Corona. Have just finished smoking a Surrogates Crystal Baller, very very nice long smoke. And I "got" some cherry or dark cherry early on in the cigar. Have never been able to name any flavour other than pepper in any cigar prior to picking up this same flavor in a Surrogates Tramp Stamp.Am able to sense flavour changes in some cigars, usually on the retrohale. It is that pepper, I get most often in Don Pepin Garcia cigars, and likely accounts for my smoking so many of the My Father lines.

Vegafina Nicaragua Robusto. Although VegaFina is one of the top selling Marques in Spain and by far the best known non-cuban in the country, i've never found any of their offerings anything other than bland, tasteless and uninteresting.
This Nicaraguan line is showing some promise though. None of the promised "Cuban-like twang", but that's not so bad because if I want some of that I can just dip into my supply of cubans. Its not the final word on complexity or evolution either, but there's certainly enough there to keep you interested. Cedarwood, mild leather, thankfully almost no pepper. It also looks great and produces more than adequate amounts of smoke. The draw is just PERFECT, too.
The construction is good but THIS

happened very shortly after lightling. I just burnt thought the split and the draw didn't seem affected at all.

All in all, at 4.30€ a pop for the Robusto Size, I'm definately gonna be buying a few more of these. I'll be trying the "Shorts" for 2.50€ each, too...

I got to enjoy this beautiful FFP while watching Gavin play on our new grass last night.

Early morning a My Father Connecticut Corona. Now lighting up a Paul Stulac White Blinding Light Robusto.
Still haven't gotten a new card for my DHI,hope to get some pix up soonly.
Also have to get a little more variety into my daily smokes while keeping the (in Humidor) count right about where it is.
