I did cut it back more after the first draw which temporarily stopped the gusher but by the end of the cigar my napkin was full of tar from blotting it. It's tough trying to keep the mouth and tongue away from the tar but since it is the first time that the short story has did this to me I will consider it a variance from the norm.

This was my first one.
I bought it when I heard @Herf N Turf bragging about it at that other place we used to hang out.
He wasn't kidding. I loved it. I'll be going back to this one, guaranteed.
AF Lonsdale Maddy.....
RP has a handful of blends that are actually pretty good. This is one of them.

Yep - agreed. The best RP I've had to date (and I like my Rockys)!
I really like the RP OWRs but agree, his box pressed stuff always burns like sh*t; however I haven't had problems with his round cigars... the Connecticut and Sun Grown are middling but the RP Burn is awful IMHO.
Let's just be honest here guys. A RP may taste good, but they all burn like total crap haha. I mean construction wise I think they are awful :p
The reason I found out that they kind of sorta blossom after years of rest is because I refused to smoke them and forgot about them in my cooler lol.
AB Family Blend Churchill with Forty Creek Copper Pot
Fair enough. Just my experiences are that most RPs don't burn so great. Of course, I am not paying top dollar for any RP either. I am sure there are parts of their line that are constructed very well, but I am not buying em lol.
And at the end of the day, there is always this disclaimer. I am a dumb dumb piper, what do I know about cigars? :p
Ive been patiently waiting for the first warm day to enjoy this 2013 Forbidden X 13 Belicoso

I thought about doing a review for it but just wanted to relax and enjoy it. Probably the strongest Opus Ive had to date, it put me on my ass.
Aroma out of the cello was amazing, pungent peat with that familiar Opus aged cognac rum barrel fragrance. Incredibly complex smoke w/heavy cayenne, earth, coffee, sugar cane, anise & plum.
Really wish these were easier to find and much cheaper, ah well.
Have a great day guys.
