La Sirena Porthole Temps have dropped a good deal, now safe to smoke on front porch, just.
Listening to some nice Cat Stevens, Bob Marley, Jac Dutronic and of course Johnny Hallyday.
Doubt the Porthole will last til Moonset, may have to find another cigar before the day gets too hot.
Diamond Crown #5, with my thanks to a very generous botl. Much more than I could give for a cigar, and tastes like it costs...
Edit. You can tell it's rolled in Fuente's factory. Took a dime sized piece of wrapper with the band. Oh, well. Sure is smokin' fine!
La Sirena porthole
I bought a few of these a month or so back from a fellow bum. He wasn't sure exactly how old they are, but the yellow cello leads me to believe they're pretty well aged - I smoked a 2 year old MF #4 earlier this year that showed no yellowing at all. Whatever the case, this is smoking awesome right now. Even the retrohale is smooth, while on a fresh one the retro is pretty strong with pepper.
I grabbed a box earlier this year and looks like they're going to age as well as I hoped.

Hi Trace,
Love the picture! What is their name? (So beautiful I can't tell boy or girl). Who is the handsome lad? You should submit this to a photo contest, wonderful the love and trust between you and your grandchild.
Today's shaping up as a pipe day. I have a neat Barling that I just restored that's calling my name.
Regards,
Pete
Happy Sunday.

Smoked a fair amount of the My Fathers, all or most sizes. Until finding the Paul Stulac lines recently.
All I was smoking were Don Pepin Garcia products, his lines along with the Tatuaje,Cabaiguans etc.
Do like the Pepper hit, reading your post realize I am now barely aware of it even on the retrohale.
Perhaps the absence of a pepper note may play a part in my disenchantment with some cigars from other makers.
Maybe...
One man's poison is another's pure pleasure when it comes to cigars?
For sure, I love the pepper. When I first started into cigars, I loved Dominicans. Now when I look back at my purchases for the last year year I'm buying Don Pepin Garcia, Oliva Serie V, and some Tatuaje like you mentioned. I still smoke a milder one sometimes, but typically I'm chasing some spiciness these days.
I guess I need to check out a Paul Stulac now, if they fall into the My Father kind of flavors.

The La Herencia, Cubana and Oscuro Fuerte are some of my favorite value lines. If I remember correctly the Barber Pole's a big stick?
Another 2013 Rocky Patel Connecticut and this is a bad one. Iced water and Beatles mix.
Since I found 'em, I get punished by having to smoke 'em.
The wife made me watch 500 Days of Summer with her and I was pleasantly surprised. Well acted and directed it's a good flick.
T52 Belicoso to wind down from a not long enough weekend.
I was digging around in the daily smoke tupper and pulled an Undercrown Corona Viva. It has been buried for around 18 months but seems to have held up well.

Sucker Punch Lights Out, Satriani turned down low, Mr Mercedes by Stephen King, and a Coors Light or 2.... Ahhhhh
2013 Sencillo Short Churchill. Only had a few of these a couple of years ago.
Armik serenades while I drink ice water and finally start A Fire In The East by Harry Sidebottom instead of doing my own writing.
Crickets are out in force but no raccoons tonight - yet!

Earlier, on Sunday, Grimalkin Robusto 5x50.....good cigar...tho had to smoke it indoors, couldn't deal with the heat on front porch.
About to select a cigar to enjoy on the porch now that it's cooled sown a bit.
Feeling like a nice taste of Lena Ph. and Charmaine Cl. required to elevate the mood.
Early, 3:30AM, morning smoke...Murcielago Toro Grande...6.5x54...had to beat the day's heat in order to enjoy a cigar away from the Air Con.
