Illusione Epernay...not certain of the correct name, tho think this may be the Le Elegance , it is a 40 ring gauge.
Very attractive wrapper colour that's enhanced by the very classy band.
Easily lit and a just right draw, some strength makes itself noted on retrohale.
So very nice with good hot coffee and some of the fantastic Marie-France Gaîté 's unique vocals, ah it must be France this night.

I had a double whammy tonight. The cigar from allusred, and I found the last little nip of Defiance whiskey that'd gotten pushed behind another bottle in the cabinet, from @GWBowman . Thanks Bob and George, these made for an excellent evening on the balcony together.

I am glad you enjoyed that. Picked up a new bottle this week. I was introduced to that whiskey by my youngest, Luke. Last I heard, his favorite cigar brand was Romeo y Julieta. I just spent the last hour with a Reserva Real Toro and a glass of Malbec. His birthday is the seventh, and we hope to go to Lynchburg on the twelfth and spend some time with him.
Happy as if I had good sense.

Sounds like a good son to me! Hope you can make it to see him, one of the things I look forward to the most these days is sharing a cigar and a drink with my dad.

Sunday afternoon front porch smoke. El Triunfador Lanceros courtesy of a highly explosive Bomb by Merovius. Two hours and sixteen minutes of pure smoking pleasure this gem from Tatuaje bore a date of 7-25-15, my thinking that in terms cigar years this was of an age to be enjoyed, was I ever right there, no long detailed notes, but it was a real treat indeed. Thanks Tyler.

Aint that a fine looking cigar?

From allusred, a beautiful 6x52 Laranja toro on a nice warm day here in Texas. I got an 1'45" out of it and could have done another 10" at least but had to get into class.

Pulled out two for the day's smoking, this one caught fire first. Oliva Serie V Box Pressed Melano Maduro...6.5x52. Called for and got a V cut, followed by fire, smoke lots and lots of smoke over two hours and two minutes time. This lads is one helluva good cigar. Cardinal sent me two of these, and you can believe I'm going to reduce that count to zero afore long, Thanks Tim.

Oliva Serie V Melano Maduro and Ramon Allones Specially Selected.

And another one from Bob, a beautiful little Vegueros Mananitas. Perfectly rolled and a really gorgeous wrapper, and I got around an hour or so of smoking time but wasn't really keeping track. I've got one more waiting in the wings from him too.
