Somewhere between 1/2 to an inch.

Depends on how good it is. If it's really good, I'll smoke it right down until my fingers get hot. If it's just okay, I'll smoke until I'm tired of it.

If it stays tasty, down to where my fingers start getting too warm...otherwise, til it starts tasting foul.
