Not having a huge nicotine tolerance doesn't help either. Inch and a half I'm usually pretty saturated, and at that point combined with the fact that I start finding the taste less pleasing and the smoke hot, I usually give it up. sometimes will save the butts and smoke in a pipe later.

Like most, until it's too hot for the lips or fingers and cooperative as far as the burn goes. Never used any kind of "nubber".

Bummin' Around
Depends on the taste and flavors but if all is well I will get it down to around an inch. Starts to burn my lips any shorter than that.
In the business of makin' crap happen.

Yep - as far as it lets me go without burning or tasting like crap. Most times that's down to where it's going to burn itself off the nubber.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

I smoke them as long as I am enjoying them. If they're good, I'll smoke them down to the nub, using a pipe if necessary. If they get bitter or too hot, I let them go out and get rid of them.

Usually down to an inch or so. If it's a great smoke I'll get out the nubber and smoke it down to about here:

Like most have mentioned, if it's good I'll smoke it down till it starts to burn the lips. I like the pipe idea, still have the corn pipe from Cigarfest so I'll start putting it to good use.

I'm not going to kill myself just to say that I've smoked it to the cap. Once in a while a cigar will stay good and tasty all the way down to the nub - those I'll smoke till they start burning my lips but that is rather rare. FYI, I usually smoke cigars anywhere in the $2 to $6 range, with an occasional excursion to about $8.50. Perhaps if I smoked $20 to $30 cigars the magic would hold out to the very end... either that or due to the expense, I'd THINK it did... but I'm not going to fork out the extra dough to find out.
Pretty much this.
I'd have to say a good majority just under 1/2 and I'm done. You get that rare one (both cheap side and expensive side) that's good down to almost the cap. Typically, those are the ones that surprise me the most and just because one did that doesn't mean the next, same box even, will be the similar.
