    That smell

Have you ever just had to try a cigar based on just smelling someone else smoking it? I worked about to blocks from the one CI retail location and let me tell you. Those smells taunted me all the time. Right before Christmas I got someone to cover my booth so I could stop down there and pick up some goodies. Snagged me two Mayimbes. Excellent smoke.

Not a particular cigar really, but loving the way they smell is what made me want to try one in the first place.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

That's what got me into the hobby in the 60's and I've been hooked ever since. I followed some poor guy on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale for about 10 minutes as I was taking my morning walk while on vacation and when he turned around he must have thought I was going to mug him. I told him I had been following him for a reason and that the reason was his cigar. It was a great aroma and one that I thought I had recognized but he laughed and probably more out of relief than anything reached into his pocket and pulled out another cigar which happened to be a Don Carlos. I gratefully received it as he kept jabbing it at me and he cut off the head and gave me his lighter to use. We spent the rest of the walk together just talking cigars and life and retirement for the next hour or so and was really a great way to start the day. So, if you ever are walking the beaches and you feel like somebody is following it will probably be me.

They knew what they were doing when they named the El Producto Bouquet.
One of the first brands I remember smoking back in 1949 - 1950 (only a few) then in '51 went from 3-5 per week to, most often one per day.
As I recall there were a lot more perfecto sized cigar being smoked back then..

I've never had an urge based on smelling someone's smoke, but if a foot smells pretty strongly like barnyard, I'm in. Also, like Brian said, if I open my humidor and I get a strong urge to have one. Something about that Spanish Cedar/Tobacco smell that just... mmmm...

Think exposure to daylight yesterday has screwed up my vision.

Figured I'd check with you before hying myself off to the Eye doctor.

This is what you actually wrote(below), is it not?

It's true! I get it a lot from some maduros (Illusione Rothchildes come to mind). Barnyard is the best way I can describe the smell. I know it sounds odd that is a good smell but they don't taste like barnyard when you smoke it. They just have a rich savory flavor.
