    Shipping & Rest Consensus

What's my bums personal experiences and habits when it comes to buying online and rest? Does it differ by site?

I've lurked, and followed, the Cigarbid forum general recommendation of two weeks rest, in the past. I'm planning on stocking another humidor till the other becomes regulated and doing some of the shopping through Cbid.

I buy almost exclusively from Small Batch Cigar they do a great job of packaging and ship with boveda. Then I wait a week to ten days before indulging. On their site look at Scottys Corner it’s always 40% off

In my experience, CBID and its sister companies ship WET. Several of the big guys do and I don't necessarily blame them - they deal with the mass public and ship slow. Better wet then dry, no?

It depends on how many cigars I have. When I first started out, I struggled to wait to smoke one. If I want to smoke a cigar ROTT (right off the truck) and that is what I had at hand, I smoked it. If I have a choice, I let them sit in my wineador for a month or more before I smoke one, or I might smoke one within a day or two of receiving if the mood hit me.
I prefer at least 3 years on most of my Fuente cigars. They seem to age well and I am a Fuente whore.

If you buy a lot more than you smoke, time of rest becomes a non-issue.

You're kinda hitting on where I'm at:

I don't want to touch what's in my tupperdore because they're adjusting from 9+ months at 70.

I guess if I'm itching for a smoke and they come ROTT - I'd rather smoke them than what's in the tupperdore.

Ideally, I should plan on allowing them the resting period and score a B&M box or enough to bide the time.

Yes, wet would be preferred (a joke would be too easy). What's your resting habit - two weeks? More? Maybe since I'm close to PA, this is only a me thing, but Cbid shipping has been super fast on every order.

Does that include B&M in-store purchases?

Nice recommendation. Checked Scotty's out earlier and never noticed that on SB before.
