RyJ + Casa de Garcia deal at JR
Just received a shipment from JR cigars (www.jrcigars.com) -- bought a box of Romeo y Julieta Exhibition #3 and a box of Romeo y Julieta Reserve Corona, got (free) two ziplock baggies (each holding four Fresh-loc 5-packs for a total of 20) of Casa de Garcia (white label) Connecticut cigars. The CdeGs are mild and make good yard-gars or humidor-fillers and they're cheap enough normally, but free makes them even better. No choice of sizes on the CdeG, and I suppose you might get one of the other (red, Honduras/blue) lines or different wrappers; I got a mixture of toro and robusto five-packs, all white-label Connecticut. The offer, still on as I write this, is good for 20 Casa de Garcias with any box of 20 or more of the following:
Romeo y Julieta 1875
RYJ by Romeo y Julieta
Romeo y Julieta Vintage
Romeo y Julieta Aniversario
Romeo y Julieta Reserve
Romeo y Julieta Reserve Maduro
Probably doesn't include the smallest (cigarillo) vitolas of these lines.
Granted, Casa de Garcia cigars aren't as brag-worthy as the Romeos they came with, much less the usual sticks that show up in "What did you smoke today?"; but they're pretty good if you like mild or mild-to-medium bundle cigars, better than the usual price would suggest. And I happened to need some mild smokes to replenish my humidors, after going two months without buying any.
Couldn't fit everything into my 50- and 100-count desktop humidors, so I loaded in the Romeo y Julietas and a few of the CdeGs. Most of the CdeGs will stay in their factory Fresh-locs for travel, others will enter the humidors as space becomes available.
It's almost time to start looking for deals and stocking a coolerdor. Unlike a lot of my fellow BOTLs, I generally smoke at least two cigars per day, of various sizes, strengths and bodies, and in various price ranges.
Shipping wasn't bad either -- well over 90 cigars total for $5.99, standard UPS, arrived in three days to my doorstep in Tennessee.
What am I smoking as I write this? A Montecristo Classic churchill that's been resting for a few months. Call it a "celebration" smoke for filling the humidors and saving money. Almost reached for a Padron, but hey -- a deal on CdeG isn't that good!
Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. Or don't. What do I care?

Sweet deal! JR is my main online source, with occasional buys from CI, Famous, BCP, Mike's, Corona...
