    Small Ring Cigarillos

I've looked over the smaller gauge cigarillos (<32) for no good reason other than it seems more like a cigarette than a small cigar.

Is there any good reason to choose the larger ring cigarillos over the smaller ones? Or better yet is there a good reason to choose the smaller ones?

There are examples of the smaller ones which are quite a pleasant smoke, although nothing complex. I don't mind the perdomo minis, I just find one needs to smoke them very gently to avoid getting them too hot. They are good for a 5 minute break, or when you just feel like a cigar snack but don't have more time. The other plus is that a pack of 20 is usually around ten bucks or less.

Having said that, I'd still choose the bigger cigarillos (say 4x32) as you get a much smoother taste. Fuente exquisitos in maduro are a good example. Only real downside to the bigger ones is the cost per stick is higher. YMMV of course.

I'm willing to explore some more. I just bypassed the smaller gauges as it just seemed less cigar-like I guess. But I can certainly see the benefit of the really quick smokes.

I have explored premium, non premium and Cuban: minis, cigarillos', Demi tasse, everything. I find myself gravitating almost always to PC's regardless of time. Wife inside with two kids, PC. Alone on Sunday morning with pot of coffee. PC. If time is an issue, snuff out the smoke and savor the moment as done, remember it's time to put the cigar down when it's no longer enjoyable not necessarily when it's burning your lips. If the wife wants your time then the smoke has run it's course. The future will reward you for this. Trust me.

For a good short smoke, I always enjoyed El Rey del Mundo Cafe au Lait and Cafe Noir (maduro) cigars. They're 4.5 X 35 and cost around $40-$45 for a cedar chest of 24 cigars. They're small enough for a short smoke, but large enough to be satisfying.....

I'm at a loss for what PC stands for. I can certainly agree with the end though!

Pretty much what I was going to say. I'll just add, don't try to nub them - they get harsh no matter what. For this reason I prefer mild cigarillos - even things like Macanudo - because they stay smokeable longer. Still, with a few more minutes I'd go for a Fuente Exquisitos or similar. The cigarillos really are only good for about 5 minutes.

The Perdomo Mini Maduro's are actually an awesome 10-15 min smoke. The sun grown are good too, but not really in the same league as the maddys. Here in a Chicago winter I have lived on the Maduro's before.
