Retrohaling
How often do u guys retrohale? I know theres no “right or wrong” way to smoke but I know this varies greatly from what ive read in the past. For me, I feel like I get the absolute best flavors from retrohaling and do it probably every other puff, unless its super peppery. Obviously not great for the nasal passage im sure. Thoughts?

I've tried it multiple times and it always just burns my nostrils and aggravates my asthma from entering my lungs, and noticed no benefits to it, so don't do it anymore.
Obviously ymmv and I'm probably in the minority by not doing it
I friggin' LOVE cigars

If it's a new cigar, to me, I'll retrohale. I try, and I do use the term "Try" very loosely" take in any profile I can. Otherwise very rarely. I'm not that savvy of a smoker.

Pretty much like you do, I retrohale pretty often. But I do it no matter what I'm smoking because I feel it does bring the flavors forward. And although I'm not adept at identifying the flavors I do notice the shifts.

Depends upon the cigar. Sometimes, almost every draw. On the stronger, more peppery cigars, I use a controlled retrohale, releasing just a little bit at a time incrementally. This also sometimes helps me to assess other flavors on any cigar.
I had to pay attention to see what I actually do. There are worse reasons to light a cigar .
When I do retrohale, it’s not always 100%. I may vary 10% retrohale, 90% mouth,50/50 or 90/10. All depends on the flavors I’m getting and the nostril burn.

Very little myself but a bit with every cigar. When I do it is just a small amount. I find that small amount a few times a cigar keeps my olfactory system in touch with my taste buds and allows me my personal preferred blend of nuanced flavor and smoke in my sinuses and lungs (as little as possible is my personal preference).
I think it is all up to personal preference and biology Everyone experiences taste a bit different. So for some people maybe they need no retrohale to experience the same amount of flavor that a bit of a retrohale now and then takes me.

I retrohale probably 100% of the time, but do exhale some out my mouth. It's the only way I can truly taste a cigar. I get nice sensations through retros, too, like smoke texture, pepper cutting the nostrils, and shifts. I really enjoy slowly letting the smoke roll out almost by itself, without much force, to pick up the details. If it's uninteresting, faster retros.

Anybody ever do "the wine sip"?
Before the puff is completely finished, sip in a little air and catch the lingering flavors?
