    Relatively new question

I'm relatively new to the cigar side. My question is I usually don't have time to smoke a full cigar. What do you guys think about cutting it in half? Or am I losing a final third flavor? I know you can snip it after it goes out what was just wondering if anybody else does this.

Cutting it in half will cause the wrapper to unravel on the part that the foot is on. I also would not recommend cutting after it goes out. It will still be nasty since the smoke and moisture will remain in the un-smoked portion of the cigar. I would suggest looking toward some smaller cigars such as Petit Coronas and such. That way you can choose a smoke while considering the time allotted to smoke it.

That's what the band is for.

I smoke robustos to the halfway point or just past not giving it much thought (if I have other things to do). Still usually enjoy them so I dont see it as a waste.

But yeah I might grab a perla sized cigar if late at night or short on time.

I don't ever cut them in half.

You need to search for something small for that 20min smoke. Here's some that I've tried...
Ricky Patel Juniors... A 4x40 available in Connecticut, maduro and Sumatra at around $60 a box of 40. Sometimes you can grab a box for $50 on cigarauctioneer.

Famous Buenos Maduritos... Another 4x40 muduro on cigar auctioneer.

    Tins...

Some of my favorites are CAO Brazillia, Italiano, and LX2. I think they're about 4x38 and I picked up tins of 6 for $12
Padron Corticos... A 4x36 Natural or maduro for about $18 a tin of 6.

I'm always looking for the perfect mini cigar for that 20-30 min lunchtime smoke. The Padrons are the best of these. I don't like the thinner ones. 3x32 or 4x29. With a 36 or bigger ring it smokes more like a regular cigar.

How much time do you have?

There's a lot more options if you have 40-60 minutes versus 20-30 minutes.

its already been stated not to cut in half so i will lean my feedback towards some smaller sticks you may enjoy or sticks that wont break your heart to not finish. i really enjoy smaller ring gauge cigars especially coronas and petite coronas. I always have some L'Atelier Travailleurs and L'Atelier Surrogates Cracker Crumbs on hand. both are 5 packs for 13-14$. this falls into both the small and dosnt hurt to not finish category because of the cheap price. Papas Fritas is also another great small stick but with price its one you want to have time to enjoy and the Asylum "Mini Corona" is also another good one with a great price. Schizo is a bundle cigar from the left overs of the asylum cigars that is mild to medium and very tasty for the price and will not hurt at all to toss it if need be. two more for ya if you like a medium+ and full+ are both the Viva Republica Guerrilla warfare and Advanced warfare.

For good 40-45 minute smokes look at MUWAT Baitfish or AF Hemingway Short Stories.
Oliva Little Gs are readily available at about the same size.

I hate to say it, but if all you have is 20 minutes, stick to a pipe.
That's why I smoke pipes more often in Summer and Winter when the temps are at their extremes. I don't want to stay outside for an hour and a half if its 105 or 30.
In Spring and Fall I smoke more cigars simply because it is pleasant outside and I can spend more time out there.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.
