PSA: Check your Crowned Heads Stash
There have been a lot of people posting on Facebook lately, documenting beetles in their CH boxes. From what I've seen, it's been mostly boxes of Waltz/Rose that have been purchased recently. (After CH announced that these are going to be regular releases and started pumping out more boxes). However, as far as I know they're all coming from the same factory so they all have a chance of being infested.
I would highly recommend you check all your Crowned Heads stuff, especially if it's from a more recent batch....It would also probably be a good time to start freezing if you never have.
Side Note: CH is notorious for having great customer service. Jon Huber was personally sending out packages to anyone who had received Las Calaveras this year with any damage to them at all. They have yet to respond to this apparent beetle outbreak in any way, which is not really helping matters lol.

As an update....Jon Huber replied to one of the admins of another group to relay a message. He's currently dealing with some family matters and once they're resolved he's going to address this.

I think this is a My Father factory issue. I found beetles in an order of Cracker Crumbs earlier this year, and I'd heard other rumors of beetle issues with both CH and Tatuaje recently.
I'm freezing EVERYTHING that comes in these days, CC and NC. Better safe than sorry.

Wow, that's rough. Good luck everyone.
Only had one beetle, and that was in an Undercrown Corona Viva. It was living a great life until I destroyed it's stogie condo with a cutter.
I hope it shall remain my only beetle.

Apparently a few people got a little upset that I posted this on a couple of forums, thinking that I was putting CH "on Blast". So to be clear, that was not the intention here, and I would personally appologize to Jon if it came off that way. Although most of the normal lines don't fit my tastes, I love Waltz, Rose, Paniolo, and Las Calaveras. Even if they promised beetles in every box, I'd still buy a lifetime supply of those and just freeze the bastards if I could afford it. Fact of the matter is, beetles happen in this hobby. Could be from the factory, could be from shipping, could just be the fact that a lot more people have CH stuff in the humidor so we're bound to see more issues like this than before. The purpose of this thread was to give my fellow BOTL/SOTL a heads up that at the moment, more people then usual were having issues with beetles so that they could freeze anything instead of risking it. I do apologize if anyone took it as me trying to talk bad about the company.

I didn't take it that way at all. It kills me when people come drop a complaint about a vendor with their first post, and this is basically the exact opposite of that. You've been here from the start, you've always posted with good intentions (that I've seen, anyway), and you came this time with a smart warning to just check out our CH stuff.
We've all read about how quickly beetles can tear through a humidor, so with something like this there's no time to waste. I appreciate the warning, and even if someone else doesn't, clearly based on the letter above the ends have justified the means in this instance.
