I am a fan of both, but if I had to pick, it would be a lancero, preferably a Petit lancero. Tomorrow I might vote differently.

Lanceros are harder to smoke, but it's very rewarding when it's on.
Corona gorda most of the time.
Lanceros when I want to treat myself.

But seriously, I haven't done many lances and will probably get them but as always interested in what my Brothers/Sisters have to say.
And as some have said, lances and coronas need.to be smoked slowly. A robo usually takes me an hour and a half anyway.
What I truly enjoy about lanceros is the Wrapper, Binder, Filler counterbalance compared to other sizes. The larger the size the more the filler takes over the flavor profile. Just my .02 which is really worth anything. ;-)

Hour and a half? You're going to have slow way down ...puffing away like that will surely do irrerepairable harm to the extremities.

Scruffy Nerd Herfer
Our beloved Herf N Turf first turned me on to lanceros, and I live by his advice - you need to smoke them so they're always on the verge of going out. In fact, I generally go over that verge several times per lancero smoked. Not only do you need to leave plenty of time between draws, it's also helpful to be deliberate about drawing slowly and stopping short of a full draw. Absolutely agree about the prominence of the wrapper flavor in the blend - it's one of the great things about lanceros.
But let's face it - we really smoke them because they just look so danged cool and roguish.
Insert witty comment here ...

I thought that's why we smoked Backwoods Sweet Aromatics
