Padron 1926 80th Anniversary Maduro Review

This Padron was bought for me by my lovely wife from Silo Cigars in Farragut, TN to celebrate my daughter's first birthday.
This cigar has been sitting in my humidor for about a month and a half at 63 rh. I took it out of the humidor and sit it inside of an empty cigar box for 3 days while waiting on a good day to smoke it.

The wrapper is slightly toothy with a good even roll and no soft spots.

I am sitting on my front porch in 65 degree weather with barely a hint of breeze. The perfect day in my eyes.
I cut the tip about a 1/2" and I also cut the foot about a 1/4". The foot was toasted and lit with wooden matches then allowed to sit for around a minute prior to the first puff. The initial flavors of dry spice and wood take over for the first 1/2". There is a good smoke output. The draw is slightly looser than what I would prefer but on the easy/good side of loose.
The flavor and strength begin to open up around the 3/4" mark. At 1" in I start to get a smooth cream flavor as well as the nicotine hit to the head.
The ash holds on for a little over an inch and has a light grey to white color with a flaky characteristic to it.
The end of the first third brings back the spice but the strength has dropped moving into the 2nd third.
Around this time my ADD kicks in and I begin to hit some practice golf balls off of a piece of turf into my front yard. The 2nd third is mostly a spicy flavor until the middle to end where I begin to get a chocolate flavor for 3 or 4 puffs.
The ash falls off at the end of the 2nd third and this is the first time I have to touch up the wrapper on one side to get the burn back to even.
During the beginning of the final 3rd the spice comes back for a few draws and I start to feel the strength kick back to what I consider a good med/full to full. Following these few puffs the spice goes away and it returns to a smooth cream flavor, but a darker cream. The smoke is still smooth and the wrapper is not hot to the touch, even behind the burn line.
The strength of the cigar at this point has me back on the front porch, sitting in the chair with a light feeling in my head and feet.
The spice doesnt come back in the final third with the last few puffs being a full but smooth dark cream flavor.
I put it to rest at the 2 hr and 10 min mark with about an inch and a half left.

I enjoyed my time with this masterfully rolled Nicaraguan cigar. A toothy wrapper is a good texture for me as I like to allow my cigars to sit in my mouth between draws quite frequently. Since I am a fan of the spice flavor, I also enjoyed the flavor changes to a cream, chocolate and back to a darker cream flavor. The nicotine in the first inch set my mind and body back to a relaxed state, but was quite heavy during the final 3rd. The sweet spot for me was the end of the 1st third to the beginning of the final third in terms of flavor changes, body of smoke and strength of the smoke.

Please feel free to give any thoughtful feedback on this review as it was the first time I have kept notes on a cigar as well as my first cigar review.

    Thank you.

Great review!! I have a few of these that I'm letting get acclimated before I try one. Now I can't wait to put the fire to it.

    Thank you very much.
