Oliva Serie V Maduro 2015 question
Anyone had the '15 release? If so, any opinions on how it stacks up against prior years, or just overall how was it?
I don't like the 6x60 size, but I've loved the V Maduro releases before and might take a chance if someone tells me they're pretty good. I'm about to clear out a little humi space and I need to fill it back up immediately haha.

The Maduro wrapper on the Melanio is not the same as the Maduro wrapper on the V. Unless something has changed the Maduro wrapper on the V is a Mexican wrapper. The Melanio Maduro is not. I haven't tried the 2015 Maduro yet, I still have too many from 2014.
Puffing away since the early 90s. Still going strong.

Gotcha thanks. I've had a couple different year releases of the regular Serie V Maduro and loved them all, but the size threw me off buying this year and last. I saw a good price on some '15s (thanks JollyRogers) and they should be arriving in a couple days.
What do you think of the '14s, by the way?
The Melanio Maduros are different but onE of my favorites out there right now.

I've bought a box of the madder release of the past. I have zero interest in a 60 ring gauge smoke. Now a #4 size maduro V, that would get my interest and dollars.

I have nothing against the 60rg but I have not been a fan of Oliva's maduro offerings in general.

I have not tried any of the recent ones, but got my hands on some from '08 and '11 and they're really good. Maybe the years are a factor. That's why I went ahead with a box of the bigguns - I only have enough time for that size every once in a while so who cares if I go a year between smoking, they'll just get better. Hopefully.
