Obsidian Half Coronas
I have smoked one or two Obsidians in different vitolas over the past couple years and don't remember them being remarkable, but they were at least ok. I bought a couple tins of these Half Coronas for the free shipping a few months back when I needed some short smokes.
Now I've tried two of these things, and can't get further than an inch into them before pitching both. They taste like burning wax, and smell bad too. Frankly, they're repugnant and not even close to smokeable. Anyone else try this vitola? Could I have gotten the dud of all dud batches?

Tried one and couldn't stand it. The "white noise" versions are tolerable but the one small corona normal (black) Obsidian was awful.
It's not a real hobby unless it interferes with your work.

Damn, I have 5 of these that I thought would be promising. Glad they were a very cheap CBid purchase.

I have the black robustos and I like those. Never tried that vitola.

Well, one concurring 'nay', guess my tasters are working. I've had a robusto, and a toro I think. They were fine, but these are awful.
@zeebee
, you wanna double-down and take a gamble on some more at a GREAT price before you try yours? Maybe you'll love them!

I've found with the robustos, you have to draw very slowly on them or you get a resinous flavor that is rather off-putting. Think sipping on a pipe rather than puffing a cigar. However, sipped slowly the robusto is very sweet and mocha like. One of the best cigars I've smoked. It's almost like a chocolate flake.

I'll let these sit for another 6 months and maybe I'll try one more time before I throw them away. I'll make sure to burn it low and slow, thanks.
