Obsessions
Other than reading/posting in forums do you all have anything cigar related that you get obsessed with? Obviously, for a lot of us it's hunting for deals but that's not necessarily what I mean. For example, my main humidor is an old gun cabinet I got off craigslist and converted to a humidor. I love it so much I'm obsessed with finding other furniture I could convert into an even bigger or even more unique humidor. It may be a long time before I can scratch that itch again but it's a hell of a lot of fun to me to look for antiques and appliances that could make a unique conversion.
Maybe it's planning a trip/tour of Nicaragua/DR/Cuba, tracking down truly aged cigars, reading about cigars or people or companies, planning a cigar room in your house, learning about home rolling, etc. Anyone else have an obsession?

I'm a sucker for the hunt...I love reading about something new or interesting on here then figuring out a way to get my hands on one. Lately for me this has been coffins. But it also can be new releases, limiteds or HTF's. I typically don't have the money to purchase boxes and the local stores don't have much in the way of HTF's or limited releases so I rely on forum members mostly.
Second to that is I obsess over finding time and opportunity to smoke and enjoy them...particularly with good company as that's when I most enjoy smoking.

I used to spend a lot of time finding that "hard to find cigar". I traveled a lot and that helped some. Now that I have a fairly extensive
collection, I try and find time to enjoy them. Mainly in the winter months when it gets cold. I find I have too many hobbies and they
don't seem to be cheap ones.
Couple of things I've learned. I like good Bourbon and hate wet toilet paper.

Obsessions
Rolling my own. Not only is it a hell of a hobby but I've become obsessed with what character each tobacco has.
What sensations they create on the palate, what flavors particular combos create, what strains have more body, which strains are more potent. I feel like I could have never understood these things the way I do now if I just smoked commercially made cigars. Getting my hands dirty and experimenting has been an obsession that's taught me a lot.

will bum for cigar
i have a cigar obsession with the history of cigars and cigar tools. i have been eyeing up buying some old molds and a old cigar cutting board with a table cutter on it. i just think it would make an awesome man cave piece some day. my biggest obsession is being able to share and smoke cigars with good friends and family

I think that would be infinitely fascinating! There are so many strains and curing methods that sounds like the kind of journey that never ends, which is awesome!

Mine is lighters, particularly older table lighters. Scour flea markets and antique shops looking for them. Right now I have over 50 older cigarette and cigar lighters.

I haven't claimed an obsession yet.
But I'm working on it!

I've been researching a lot on creating a smoking room for my house.
I don't think I can swing it this year and my wife is DEAD set against it. Lol.
But it becomes difficult for me to smoke in the winter here in NY. I have a good B&M, but when I usually have the time to smoke it's nighttime and they are closing...
I go from smoking about 3 cigars a week --> 2 cigars a month in the winter, if I'm lucky...
