In addition to everyone else's advice, keep your container out of direct sunlight at all times, and keep it in an area where the temperature stays at or below 70 at all times.

Thanks to all for the info! I sent the Ammodor place an email. Their product is pretty freakin cool but I'm rather attached to my own "ammodor" as it's gotten me through some pretty rough times and has a few (literal) battle scars.
