NC's Similar To CC's
Looking for recommendations on NC's that would be similar to, or most representative of CC's in body, flavor, etc. I'm bound to have a couple in the Humi as I write this, and not know it yet. Want to pay closer attention to the characteristics as I smoke them, to determine the level of my desire to explore the Habanos World.

Herrera Esteli is as close as it gets IMO. Heard the Quesada España is close but I haven't smoked the only one I have yet.

I just smoked a Fuente Casa Cuba. That was a nice blend, similar to some RyJ and Monte blends. The Oliva Melanio blends have a little twang too. Tat blacks too. Hererra Esteli Piramide Fino also savors of Habanos. Hope that helps.

Good call on the Black label Jack. I forgot about that one.

I mistook a Diamond Crown torpedo for a CC in the blind taste test recently. Even after I found out what it was it still recall it having a very similar flavor to a good Cuban, some delicate citrus with a dried fruit sweetness.
We're going to need a bigger humidor

Seems to me it would be far easier if some decent BOTLs hooked you up with a couple of things to try.
I would, but I have zero CCs, seeing as I just don't care for them as much as NCs and only smoked them when they were the only thing I could really get.

You didn't make a mistake, you just smoked a damn good cigar.

Wow, Someone Knows Me
Try some of the different Regius lines. The company is from England and models their cigars after CC's. If you can get your hands on an the Orchant exclusive, you won't know it's not from the unmentionable island south of Florida.
