True CC'ophiles will tell you that know such animal exists. While I am the farthest thing from a CC expert many of the Curivari Reserve Limitadas have some similar qualities to the CCs that I have smoked.

Orchant as in Mitchell Orchant as in this guy? http://www.mitchellorchantsellsfakes.com
Camacho 1962 Pre-embargo
I have to admit that there are many - many - cigars that I have tried that in some way reminded me of a CC in some way or another. Whether it be the initial light taste or smell or just a slight taste that I got even if for only a few puffs. I have noticed the second hand smoke from some other people's cigars smelled an awful lot like them as well.
The NCs for me that I feel had something reminiscent of a CC that I have been able to experience more than once were:
Torano Exodus Gold robusto
Camacho Criollo Robusto
Sam Leccia Luchador robusto
CLE Corojo 11/18
Brickhouse robusto
Fallen Angel robusto
I use the size because I didn't have the same experience with other sizes.
Your experience might be different, but they are all great cigars too!
Anyone ever notice that we never see a "Havana cigars that are most similar to a Honduran" thread? As long as you are smoking a puro, it will probably have some of the characteristics prevalent in that region. If I want to smoke something that tastes like a Nicaraguan, I probably should avoid the Dominican Republic.
Of course blends are different, but it has been decades since we had blends with some Havana filler. I don't really think the Camacho counts...
Why not just order a CC sampler and try the real thing if you want to determine if it is worth sliding down the CC slope?
The Orchant is a great smoke.
