You are absolutely correct. He does state No Butane, if I understand the universal symbol of a red circle with a diagonal line through it correctly. The store lighters are fueled in the same way as a torch, just jetted differently to mix with the other required component of combustion; oxygen, resulting in a hotter, more directed flame. Some may say a soft flame may be preferred over a torch, especially in the hands of the less experienced. There is less chance of scorching the tobacco. Overall, the video doesn't offer other bad direction and would be helpful to the novice. On the butane specificity, it is incorrect.
