Where are all the Liga fans?
It just hit me as I scrolled through "what did you smoke today" that I haven't seen a Liga there in a long time. Even if there's been one recently the number of Drew Estate products being smoked seems to have really dropped off. I liked some of the DE offerings but I never really went nutty for them. Any Drew Estate fans or former Drew Estate fans here? If so, what gives?

I'm not a Liga fan, but now that you mention it - I don't recall seeing many pics of them in the thread in a long time

Probably because I have been busy and not posting every day, lol. I love them, but I have been too busy to post up everything I smoke lately. Plus I can only afford so many. Those buggers are a bit expensive. Maybe I'll smoke one tomorrow just to liven things up.

Hairy Cigar Fairy
Maybe Swisher has sucked the magic out of Drew Estate like a Vampire going down when Aunt Flo is arround.

I used to smoke Undercrowns on a somewhat regular basis but like the Unico lines I find there are things at that price point that keep my attention more.

I used to smoke them all the time. There are better cigars out there for less money for me plus I think the construction
has suffered.
Couple of things I've learned. I like good Bourbon and hate wet toilet paper.

Don - off topic, but let's discuss your signature of "Life is like a shit sandwich, the more bread you have the less shit you eat."
The addition of more bread does not decrease the amount of feces still in the sandwich. You're not removing more turds by adding more bread. So wouldn't the amount of crap stay the same? You wouldn't eat less of it. You'd maybe taste it less, but it would be the same quantity, correct?

Once the debate/discussion of life as a sandwich is ended/digested.
You may wish to examine this bit of research that's in todays news.
"Improperly cooked maize-based diets have been associated with higher rates of homicide, suicide and cannibalism in humans."
One might think that.
"Improperly cooked Human-based diets may be associated with higher rates of suicide among Cigar smokers whose ability to detect the Chocolate Pistachio fudge Ice Cream in their cigars is blunted."

By the way and to return to the topic.
Thru the courtesy of Sean The Evans (my Secret Santa) I smoked a Drew Estate Liga Dirty Rat about two weeks ago.....It was thoroughly enjoyed.

This alone is worth me starting this thread.

Not always, The more bread gives you the opportunity to just eat the bread without the crap. If very little bread then the whole thing is consumed.
More bread just gives you different options. Years ago, an old guy in a bar said that to me. Hadn't thought about it much since then. I think he
was referencing money but hey, I was drinking at the time!

Seems to me, cigars and even pipe blends are driven largely by fad and advertising. It's worse than women's clothing styles sometimes. Some hot, new brand springs up, is all the rage for a while, then dies down to nothing even though the blend hasn't changed. There are a few that hang in there long term (i.e. the FFOX line) but not many. I refuse to be suckered in to that game. I hoard cigars I like and pretty much ignore all the hype. I do like Undercrowns tho. Picked up a 5er of the Connecticut version a while back but haven't smoked one yet.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
