I've been saying it all wrong
After listening to cigar advisors show on Facebook, I've realized I've been pronouncing Tatuaje all wrong. I've thought in my head that it's pronounced "tattoo a jay" for some reason lol. I guess mainly because I never speak to anyone in real life about cigars that much, Idk.
You ever mess up pronunciations?

Yes, sure do. For most of my life I called robusto "row bust o" instead of "row boost o"

Criollo, I know how to pronounce it correctly, but it just sounds weird coming from me so I still knowingly pronounce it wrong (with an "l" instead of a "y") even in my cigar videos. So I am probably causing a few people to say it wrong too.

Don Pepin pronounced Pep-EEN.
Still not 100% sure about Davidoff. I now know the a is not long like in "day", is instead Dah-vidoff, but I'm unsure of the "i" and if it should be "Dah-veed-off".?
I have heard Esteli pronounced a couple different ways with the emphasis on different syllables. I have heard the most common Americanized stressor on the middle syllable, but I believe this to be incorrect. The Drew Estate rep, Wild Bill, pronounced it with the stress on the last syllable (este-LEE). This is the one I've heard other Spanish pronunciations of. I have also seen a few were the first syllable was stressed.

My Spanish is horrible. The wife corrects me all the time. Tatuaje I mess up a lot. On the subject of Pepin. I thought "Himey" was his son and Jamie was his daughter. For a long time I was looking for the "Waiwensay". At the same time I kept seeing a cigar at the B&M El Gueguense. I kept looking at it thinking what is this "El Goo-Guinness" never heard of it. I listen to cigar podcasts more then I read the articles. It causes issues at times.

I still say ro-bust-o
5 Vegas is Cinco Vegas. I get that wrong about half the time. I know, who smokes 5 Vegas cigars? I do
A guy at work with whom I frequently trade cigars and tobacco is from rural VA. He pronounces just about everything wrong, LOL. The only thing I correct him on is Gurkha. He wants to pronounce it gunker. I can't stand that for some reason. Of course Gurkha is brand I rarely smoke, so it doesn't come up that often.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

While we're on the subject, Ligero = Lee hair o, with kind of a hard H.

There is a lot in the Tatuaje/L'Atelier family that I don't even try to pronounce including the L'Atelier name itself
