Just my two cents. Way to help the case against the FDA jackasses. Didn't Garafolo do a "candy wrapped" style cigar in the past two and get all pissy when someone called him out on the packaging? I may be remembering that.

Was it candy? I know the chinese finger trap one someone put out was kinda questionable. And I know at some point a while back someone put out a promo pack at events or something that looked like a giant chocolate bar.

But yeah, these guys are idiots. Having mistakenly watched a few of their podcasts that is not even a question.

I'm not offended by it, I just thing it's moronic. Rail against the FDA on one hand because "Cigars aren't marketed towards children" then repeatedly give them an example to use to refute your argument. It's a weak argument of course but it seems like with the government you crack that door open and they will do the rest.

Although, maybe I should put on my "Sexy Ken Bone" costume and order some.

It's in VERY poor taste.

Our hobby is viewed poorly by a lot of people, those people look for ANY reason to attack. Personally, I don't want to give them any ammunition.

There certainly is "free enterprise", but there is also cutting off your own nose to spite your face...

This is one of those times that the cigar industry should look to big tobacco. In general, they will stay a million miles away from ANYTHING that could be perceived as being marketed to children. Why?

Because in the game of public opinion, we lose. Every time.

Yeah they said they actually got a cease and desist from one of the candy companies that the packaging looked too much like their candy bars.
They gave the rest of those away in their monthly Care Package, but I hadn't heard about this one. I'm guessing it was something they did a while ago and are trying to get rid of rather than something they just came out with. They ARE smarter than that.
