No kidding. Makes my bargain shopping almost embarrassing (but I won't stop).

After a while you will have enough daily smokes then you can buy the more celebratory sticks later. It all comes down to budget storage and how frequently you smoke. If you have enough daily smokes stored up then you can buy a few more expensive sticks every once in a while and have a place to store them. If storage is tight it hard to justify that space for that price.
There is kind of a basic philosophy for any humidor. In time its too small.
Nice.
Love the sistema tupperdors. Solid built and completely airtight.
And they do hold close to 100 loose sticks, so very nice if you have a lot of loose ones.
Beautiful wooden humidor. I really would love to keep everything in nice, wooden humidors as they look so nice, and have a very classy look.
Unfortunately, none I have ever had sealed well at all, so they got retired.
Had to use 72%Bovedas to maintain 65% rh, and they had to be replaced every 2 to 3 months.
Tupperdors aren't as nice looking, but have proven to make for excellent performance, so have to sacrifice the looks.
I friggin' LOVE cigars
I speak from my experience. There have been times i have had little to no buying for 1 reason or another. Even with my daughter I won't let my cigars affect the household budget. I have a cigar fund when someone gives me money for birthday or whatnot that goes in my cigar fund. Its not exorbitant but healthy especially when you add in my limited purchases. If I smoked more I would have to limit certain purchases. But you are right smoke what you like.
I am also not trying to tell anyone how to do anything just giving my perspective.
I 100% agree. I love my "BBS" (Budget Buy Sticks) favorites that I have found. They are great for daily smoking and then like you said, I sprinkle in some "special occasions" with the BBS. It is storage space that I think will inhibit me from being able to take advantage of box buy pricing when the budget is there for it at any given time.
(I was going to say "Budget Buy Cigars" until I realized all of the jokes that could go along with the associated acronym and figured it would be smarter to go with "Budget Buy Sticks".)

Believe me, I have thought about it! Been keeping an eye on a few reseller sites - Mercari, OfferUp, CL and even Poshmark.
Don't have FB, but do have Nextdoor - mostly a neighborhood drama and gossip app, but there can be some very good intel in there at times from your immediate community on crime - especially ongoing crime. Anyways, there's a "for sell" feature on there too I check out.
Only seen the ones with temp control. I want the whole she-bang - temp and humidity control.

Yes, that is a humidor in my winedor.
Mostly AF and a few other “finer” cigars

I recently had to expand into a 34 quart tote.
Mostly boxes, some packs, and several other loose cigars.

Curious, Why heating?
A small terrarium or a seedling starter heat mat would probably work. In an enclosed space, it wouldn’t need to be very big. I would still worry about overheating.
My setups are in the basement.
Temp ranges 55-62 in winter and up to about 64-68 in summer.
