Holiday themed cigars - yay or nay?
DogRockets poll time!
So tonight I have set aside a Viaje Farmer Bill (gotta kill the turkey first) and a Viaje Stuffed Turkey Dark Meat for tomorrow. It got me thinking, how many of you enjoy holiday themed cigars? How many of you think its too gimmicky and pass on them?
We have various Candelas such as Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan for St. Patrick's Day, CAO America (and many others) for patriotic holidays, Tat Monsters or Viaje Full Moon for Halloween, Viaje Holiday Blend or Candy Cane for Christmas. I'm sure this group could name many others.
I do find myself usually reaching for a holiday themed cigar. To me its something small that adds a bit more enjoyment to a holiday.
So, what say you bums?

I figure that I'm the turkey and the cigars are for enjoying. Don't need for someone to name a cigar for the holiday's. I think Hallmark has that base covered......
Like my father before me, I will work the land,
And like my brother before me, I took a rebel stand.

I buy into it. As long as it's a good smoke, I'm into it. Gives me a reason to set that one aside for a special occasion.

I think it can add a little to the occasion. It makes choosing which cigar to smoke a lot easier.
Although, I have found myself smoking these holiday themed cigars away from the intended holiday just because it was a good smoke.

I'd buy into this, but never really looked for any other than the "America" themed ones. Google, here I come. Still got time for Christmas.

There are a lot! CAO puts out Christmas themed ones. The Rabid Reindeer is awesome if you're a maduro fan. They have a snowman and others as well. I think they released them all in a sampler this year. Also Viaje Holiday Blend I love. I'm not sure if they make the Candy Cane anymore. Or you can get a Gurkha. The rolls Royce of cigars is like giving yourself a Lexus for Christmas and putting one of those huge red bows on it.

I don't play into it as it just seems gimmicky to me. It's strikes me as kinda weird what is in a name. Holiday themed cigars really appeal to many and avoided by many, maybe due to the name.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

No holiday themed cigars for me. I will pick something special from the tupper though, after dinner treat.

While they usually are not the top of the line a nice mesium quality holiday themed cigar always is a win with me.
