They can name any cigar they want with Holiday Names as long as there is a discount added to it. I wait for Holts to come out with their Opus and Anejo deals but a lot of times the deals have a caveat to increase sales like " Buy this and then add that and you get a discount on the whole package." Yeah, that's like buying a car with a CD package and then buying a year contract that sells you the best sounds of some musical group in China or Japan.

I have come to believe that (at least the CAO) cigars ARE actually regular cigars many times, resized and repackaged for a "Holiday Release". Perhaps a slight tweaking of the blend to accommodate for the size change, but I recall hearing that certain CAOs were actually other popular CAOs, like with the Reindeer, Santa, Snowman stuff.
The Rabid Reindeer was a version of the Mx2 and the Sinister Sam is a version of America. Those two I know for sure.

For some reason, cigars that IMO have a gimmicky name, I avoid every time. I guess I am just getting to be a cranky old guy. Unless it starts with Fuente.😎

Still looking for that opus Pussy juice huh?
I don't have emotions, and sometimes that makes me very sad.

How many ya got?😎 In all honesty I haven't bought cigars for at least 6 months except for a mandatory single at the local lounge and nothing intrigues me at this point. In the end they all taste like a cigar no matter what catchy name they decide to call it.

Jumpin’ Railcars and Collectin' Cans
I've bought a sinister Sam, saved it for the fourth of July. Would do it again, but not something I really seek out to do. Kinda fun to add a holiday spin to it, and of course I know it's all marketing but so aren't most holidays anymore.
