    Hit Or Miss Cigars General

Just had a Tatuaje Fausto. It was overall a huge disappointment. It started off good, and I was thinking this was another great cigar by Tatuaje. However, this only lasted for maybe a 1/2 inch. Afterwards everything dropped and never resurfaced. It tasted diluted and had almost no taste.

I’ve read that other sticks (possibly the Fausto) within Tatuaje and other brands, seem to become disappointments, or are more hit or miss.

If this is a solid stick, I’ll return sooner than later. But, $7 AND Tatuaje? This seemed like a budget stick. I’ve never had an issue with them before, but also have lots to explore by them.

Anyone have similar experiences with the Fausto? Should I return?

I smoke the Fausto maybe once a year and I think its a fairly strong stick that stays the same throughout. Never had it go blank. Sounds like a dud to me, but I smoke maybe 10 Tats a year so I am not well versed.

Just did some research and what I got was NOwhere close to the full and peppery stick it should've been. What I got was a subtle Tatuaje-esque spice, then nada. Looks like I'll be returning to it pretty soon based off your input.

How often do you run into duds, and what's your perception of a particular stick if it's your first time with it and it duds?

    Thanks!

The Fausto is about the only Tatuaje I don't like, partly because it seems to trade taste for strength. I know Kayla loves them but not for me.

In general if I get a stick I'm not wild about I note it and then will maybe try it in a different size the next time. But after 2 or 3 I'm out - no sense going back for more. I.E. Gurkha
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

My experience with the Fausto has been great!
Not a very complex cigar, but tasty. And yes, more to the Full end of the spectrum.
What you experienced sounds like a dud or an old and not well maintained sampling.
