Oh man did the wood arrive?
Aw come on Ryan, I even built the jig shown in the pic to rip perfectly straight pieces of plywood. Not sure why I did since nothing in the closet is straight, plumb, level or has 90° angles all at the same time.
This will be my first time cutting & installing crown molding, so I bought a jig gadget for that - all those angles and working upside-down make my head hurt.
Oh, I've done it. Especially when they come to you: I was laying courses of block retaining wall and a truck pulls up with 3 dudes. They come up and ask if need help. I skeptically ask how much. Guy says $75. I hand him the trowel and say go for it. That dude slung that mortar like a fucking artist on a coke binge.
Update on the door: Got the call that after waiting over a month that the door was built out of spec. Not something easily corrected like wrong swing - they built the whole thing TOO BIG to fit! AHHHHHHHH!
And get this - the builder has run out of material and is weeks out on manufacturing.
I almost hesitate to post this, but looks like I could get an early B-Day present in a couple weeks.
Door is reportedly complete!
The lack of updates and pictures in this thread is borderline cruel. Here we all are, huddled in at home looking for something positive in these crazy times and @SoCal gunner decides to hold out on us ??? Come on TJ - we need some cigar porn right about now
1) Still needs some work before the grand reveal (I know better than to show an empty space, even if a work-in-progress).
2) Neighbor up the street is moving soon and @jhedrick83 is going to need a place on the block.
ROFL! I'd have to hide the few AF sticks I have around @jhedrick83
Big tease!
