    If you can get a Boveda in there, go that route. On the other hand, my go-to solution for the longest time with the travel humis was to add a few drops of distilled water to the disk and wipe off the excess. I usually bag my cigars before they go in the travel humi, so it's all overkill anyway.

    if your using this for short term travel storage just put the cigar in and go. if your using it for storage for more than afew days toss some boveda or hf beads in and call it a day. that simple

    If you have the space you can store the travel humidor in a regular humidor to acclimate to your preferred storage RH. Then when you want to use it, it has already been primed and no need to do anything to the disk, other than pull it out and chuck it. You may loose some moisture over a day or so, but that just gives a dry box effect
