Growing tougher tastes, and mourning the loss of a benchmark

I am happy to have build a tolerance and desire for stronger sticks, but am saddened at the loss of a benchmark. I am currently tucked into the corner of a nice b&m, watching Tombstone, sipping a Brazilian coffee and puffing away on a Skull n Bones. Still a great stick, but no longer threatens to smoke ME, which brings the $10 sticker into question. Anyone else grieving a fallen powerhouse?

no. not at all, i have gone away from the knock out destroy your taste buds for days powerhouse cigars in favor of medium refined complex sticks.

so you are missing going green on certain cigars? the one time it happened to me, left me not wanting to do that again
    Nice try MF'r!

I'm starting to lean towards stronger sticks myself.

For some reason the last couple years I seem to be more sensitive to nicotine. Had a couple cigars kick my butt recently. Been going more to my pipes, easy decision in winter.

My tastes run the gamut, but I spend most of my time with mild-to-medium cigars. The days when I actively sought stronger sticks seem to be behind me; now I buy them occasionally, smoke one or two, let the remainder rest/age until I'm in the mood again.
Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. Or don't. What do I care?

While I prefer medium-Full bodied smokes with no strength, unbeknownst to me, some of the cigars I've tried lately were rated full bodied and full strength and I didn't even notice it.

I tend to like medium/ medium full the majority of the time. When I started smoking cigars, I had one make me wonder if I was gonna make it inside the house. I don't remember what cigar it was, but it kicked my ass. Do I miss that feeling? No.

Trent, glad to hear you spent some time enjoying a smoke on a frigid day. I still haven't smoked in a lounge yet.

Greening out? Naw, don't miss that . I just like ones that THREATEN to make me green. Latest monster for me? Camacho Blackout and Diesel UHC, a tossup. Last green out was UHC, before that a LGC Serie R Maduro, waaay back in late '13

@Old Smokey , I definitely needed that! You asked earlier what triggered my nerves, I still don't know. Just a bad nerve day, wanted to tear somebody a new one for looking wrong
