Sad to see him go; I've enjoyed the Namakubi and the Uncle Lee.

for a while Holt's was dumping all the Uncle Lee super cheap. Might want to see if they still are.
I don't know how many of you guys listen to Stogie Geeks or read Cigar Coop but Will Cooper, I think, has the most realistic opinions on the changes coming our way. He's of the mindset that the regulations won't be repealed, but what we can hope for is the predicate date being moved or a drastic reduction in costs associated with the FDA filing/testing. Even that he doesn't seem super hopeful for.
Bottom line, if you love boutiques or blends younger than 2007, keep a cooler on hand and be ready for deals. I'm afraid we are going to lose a good number of great cigar makers in the coming two years. Some may sell out, so the "brand" lives on but who knows what changes may be made to it.

I seen the price drop around 3 or 4 months ago on the 101 line. Figured this is what was coming. I've only had the Nambuka or whatever it's called before, but was pretty young, maybe 3 weeks in my humi. I wasn't crazy about it, but a solid stick at the new lower prices.....

I second the Namakubis. I've also always enjoyed the Darumas, especially the Papi Chulo size for a short smoke and the lancero, like what
@Brimy
mentioned. My Room101 experience isn't extensive, but I liked what I tried. I really liked the Master Collection One. The black lacquered box is beautiful! I know there are other subsequent options in this series. OSOK was another I enjoyed.
Interestingly enough, Room101 is a nod to a reference in the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell.

Cigar-Smoking Scum
They probably have the most accessible group of tiny smokes at great prices of any brand that I've noticed. Will be missed

My favorites of the Room101 line were the Namakubi Ecuador, Master Collection One, Two, and Three, Uncle Lee, Daruma Gold, Johnny Tobacconaut and finally the Cool Chief Arrow. I will miss looking forward to trying their latest creations.

Sad to see it, the Daruma lance was one of my early favorites when I was newer-ish into cigars. I've still got a handful left after buying a couple boxes of them. I hate it that he's shutting it down due to those miserable regs.

I've only had the MC 1 & 2 once each and liked them but I was "unappreciative" of the flavors in a milder cigar at the time. I probably should try to get a few more before they disappear.
And how could I forget the OSOK!! Foolish me. I got these, and still have, when looking for the original EH OSOK. Great smoke.

I'm still sitting on a few of the Johnny Tobacconaut. I'll have to see what they've become soon. I forgot about the Uncle Lee, but now that I think about it, it was pretty good.
The Namakubi was one of the 1st smokes I had before I fell off of the ledge! I was actually on a Liga no. 9 hunt when I ran across them.

I quote like Daruma Gold and Namakubi. Have an unopened box of Namakubi Ecuador resting in my humi. Sad to see them go.
