My favorite is usually a Padron or Fuente maduro. Occasionally I'll have something light and long (Toro), so it stays with me for several holes but i don't have to think much of it aside from puffing it. Otherwise I aim for corona, or robusto.
I love having a stogie on the links. I'm always mindful of where the smoke is trailing to, though - don't want to affect anyone else's game by a cloud drifting over them. Some people really despise cigar smoke.
I got a cigar clip that holds the stick on the cart, too. Super cheap from CigarBid. I almost always leave my stick in the cart (or on the bag). I just don't like the smoke wafting up into my face while swinging or putting. And I don't want to leave ashes on the green, or again have my smoke waft over someone while they're trying to sink a big putt.

Since I normally play early in the day I go for lighter sticks...nothing too rich. I found ab american or some pdr do pretty good for me

You guys may have all seen this while we were on hiatus, but if not here it is again. I know you, ahem, purists would prefer the cute cart girl over technology.

I rarely smoke premium cigars when golfing. I find that I do not enjoy it as much because I am concentrating on the game and not the smoke. Or it falls out of the cart. or I leave it back on the last hole. So I usually smoke some mid-level sticks. Diesel or cohiba or a punch, etc. something that I wont really mind if I lose it

I used to golf...A LOT..lol...probably too much. I favored the Private Stock (Davidoff 2nds I think they were) inexpensive and not too strong as well as the St. Luis Rey Serie G maduro. Another inexpensive cigar with good flavors.

I don't play golf, it interferes with my smoking.
Smoke what you like, like what you smoke. Or don't. What do I care?

I agree with most as far as size and style. I prefer a Maduro robusto. More specifically for me it's the AVO maduro robusto, pretty inexpensive cigar and perfect for just enjoying a bit. I don't smoke anything that I want to truly enjoy while on the course, I save that for the clubhouse.
Those get a grips are nice, except the cigar should face the other way, or so that's what I , um, err, umm, have been told? lol Yeah that's the story I am going with.

I usually take smaller cigars i.e. Illusione REX - RyJ Belvederes - anything in those size ranges.
