It keeps getting bigger
I seriously got in to this hobby almost 2 years and my cigar collection keeps growing faster than I smoke them. I have gotten very picky on what I buy and the quality of my cigars has greatly improved, which is a good thing. But I have a very hard time just kicking back and enjoying what I have.
When does the madness end? Or does it?
My collection is very modest compared to some, with my stick count hovering temporarily around 325 cigars. I have a 70qt cooler thats full of various partial boxes, a 150ct humidor that's maxes out with unmentionables and top shelf Fuentes. Then a tupperdor full of misc. daily type smokes. I don't want to add more storage, I just wanna smoke and enjoy. But the Las Calaveras 2015 is very near and I think I'm screwed.
I know I can pick up the bombing and I enjoy that, but tell me again why I buy way more cigars than I smoke?

Most of the fun is in buying them. MORE STORAGE! MORE STORAGE!

I'm pretty sure thats the slope everyone mentions. We currently have no known cure. Light one up and enjoy the slide. The stress of trying to figure it out just might kill you. Don't want that to happen.

I feel your pain Old Smokey. 9 months in the hobby and over 400 sticks... I am not proud of that, I blame the BnB Groupons for my numbers. The slope is slippery and seems to be endless! We should start a support group. Hey I support your cigar decisions!

Notice how
@DogRockets
liked this!?
Buying faster than you smoke is good, it means you will get to see how some of the cigars age and change over time. That's part of the fun for me.

Ha. I had close to 700 sticks sold off 500 and replaced them with 800 new ones. Have 2 more boxes and 2 bundles on the way too. The fun is in the buying and selling.... Let me look if I have anything to sell.......

will bum for cigar
It never ends. I got into the hobby seriously again a little over a year ago again and I have pushing 300 in my collection right now and see no end to it. I really think I enjoy collecting them and going to cigar events just a little bit more than smoking em plus I lobeasending bombs out to all you great bumbs. I lost my box virginity for the first time a few weeks ago at a drew estate event and already see another box in my future and box splits!! I see no end in sight thanks to

Jumpin’ Railcars and Collectin' Cans
Without you Bums, and this forum, the hobby is not nearly as enjoyable for me. When Poof went down, I sorta lost my way for a while. When Bum started up, and a brother located me, I was lifted back again. It is a very social hobby, that can get out of hand at times. That is when I gift, bomb, PIF, etc. The sharing, and camaraderie that comes from it makes it all worth while. Sure it is a slippery slope, but a damn fine ride at the same time. In the year plus I have been smoking cigars again, I have learned a 100 times more from all of you, than I did in my previous 30 years. You all are also responsible; in no small part, to my over the top, wanton buying addiction as well, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
The good news is that you finally settle into a sweet spot....find your preferred vitola size, flavor profile, slow the buying roll, and learn to treasure hunt vs. buying everything you come across. Just getting there now, and have learned to curb the addiction a little. There certainly are worse things in life a person can piss their money and time away on, so I'm sticking to this one, and having a blast doing it. Just this guy's
