Happy B-day. Guess I'm lucky my sweet wife doesn't mind if I smoke in the kitchen. I turn on the stove exhaust fan and it clears out nicely.

Happy Birthday and good luck finding somewhere to enjoy (not just smoke) your birthday cigar.
We have a little winter in the Houston, TX area at times, but seldom below freezing.
As a buddy of mine who lives in Brazil said: "I don't go where bananas don't grow".
You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning

So I guess if I really want to smoke today I can, I just didn't enjoy it much the last time I was there and that defeats the purpose.
I keep telling myself: two more years and the GF will be done with grad school and we can move somewhere warm. Unless I get the job I'm in the process for and then they can send me anywhere for three years.
Happy early birthday Chiefilliniwek! I'm about 2.5 hours from Chicago, I actually work in Rock Island, IL but I live on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities.
Nevermore - that's about what it is here, it's only -20 with windchill, thankfully. It's gotten close to that real temps a few times and it's not ok. It's actually warmed up a bit (3 degrees and -9) lol.
Find a cheapest cigar similar to what you bring in and play a switch-a-roo with the cigars. Take the band off and they won't know you're smoking the ones you brought in!

Happy Birthday!
Would it be possible to drive around smoking with the windows cracked?
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

I don't smoke in my car, so unfortunately no. I smoked in my first car and after I quit smoking the smell really bothered me (cigarettes) and never went away. When I got my first new car I swore I'd never smoke in it, which was tough when I started smoking again and quit a number of times. I'm glad I stuck with it though, it's been ten years since I smoked in one of my vehicles and when I quit again close to five years ago I was glad I never smoked in my vehicle. I also got a lot more for it when I sold it because it was super clean and well maintained.
Tman - I thought about doing that but I feel bad. Honestly I wish they just offered a "cigar smokers club membership" or something where you pay a fee per day/week/month/year and can smoke there whenever you want. Offer discounts based on the longer you want to sign up for and club rewards for people who buy product in your store. Around here you'd probably make a killing during the winter with guys like me who want to hang out and smoke but not buy your cigars. Who knows, maybe you get us in the door frequently and we end up buying more cigars...

Could you ask them if it was ok to bring in a cigar from home to smoke while there IF you go ahead and buy something they sell? Just tell them you like yours set to a specific humidity level and yours kept at home are at that level.

This is what I would do. Or if their cigars are that bad or they don't have anything you want, just pay a "cover charge" instead of buying something you don't want.
Good luck & Happy Birthday.
