Do you feel guilty?!?!
For those of us that still patronize the Devil Site (or any other auction site). You see something that you want. You place a bid and it comes back that you've been "outbid". You bid again. Same thing!
Do you feel bad driving up the price until you reach your max?

Nope, that's how the system works.

I don't use the auction sites much but for me it depends on whether I have already "won" something. If I've got one already then I'm saving on shipping and I'll bid again and not feel bad about it. But if I have nothing - I'll wait because it's coming up again next week and no sense driving up the price for another brother.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

I detest auctions. I also don't re-bid. The rare times there's not a buy it now option on ebay I put in my max bid (all I'm willing to pay) one time and that's it. If I'm out-bid then to hell with it. Usually I get out-bid because it seems there's always some fool willing to pay more than something is worth. That's what auctions are for IMO; dumping junk and scalping the good stuff. I've never used a cigar auction site and don't intend to. Just don't care enough about the whole tobacco scene to endure auctions on its behalf.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

I see the Devil site as a way to get cigars "on the cheap"! Which is why I sometimes feel guilty about driving the bid up.
So unless its something that I really want to try, I won't keep bidding. And I NEVER go near MSRP.

No, not at all. There are no feelings on CBid. It's the wild, wild west!
But seriously, I stick to a pretty rigid formula for the Devil's Site. Set your max bids and walk away. That way you don't have to mess with going back and forth. If there's something I REALLY want, then I'll check in at the end of the night to see where I'm at. For example, I've been really curious about the new budget offering from My Father, La Reloba Seleccion Oscuro. So I made sure to win that auction and re-bid a couple times. Still got a 5-pack for $10, which is cheaper than the per-stick price of the boxes.
Remember that CBid relies on stupid bidders to make up for people who are regularly buying stuff at 30-40 percent off the regular prices at Cigars International. I've seen singles of CAO Gold going for $8 or boxes of cheap fumas going for $15 over their usual price because people don't even know what fumas are...they just see a picture and bid on it. So, thank you, stupid bidders!

Those Reloba Oscuro should be nice! I say that because the original is a very good inexpensive stick and I can just imagine it with an Oscuro wrapper. I was looking at them last night.

That's good to hear. I've never had anything bad come out of their factory, so I'm excited.

Agreed! I've never had a bad My Father smoke either.

Lately I've been getting great pricing on my favorites that beat the Devil Site by at least 40%....and these are premium cigars...not the cheapies. Case in point.......Dias De Gloria by AF Fernandez that usually go around $200 for a box....I got for $106 for a box....Herrera Esteli Norteno for $124 for a box that usually are around $190....there are deals out there but you have to check daily to be the Early Bird.
