Ever have a favorite cigar be bad
I lit up a favorite cigar tonight . Had been looking forward to it all day . It's one I been smoking for quite awhile . I had ordered a 5 pack from the same place I mostly buy them from . Had one few nights ago and enjoyed it from start to finish . But this one as soon as I lit it up it seemed off . The taste and aroma was off . Kept hoping it would get better as I smoked it but never did . Very bummed . Anyone else have this sad experience lately ? Ruined rest of my evening .

These are made by hand items every once in a while you can get a dud. I also know that sometimes other factors can affect the experience of the cigar. I would try another and if you get the same outcome then maybe your tastes have changed or the blend did. There are plenty of other good cigars out there.

Yeah I have had that happen with other cigars in the past . A few I have when their good , their good but I have smoked enough of them I am prepaired till after I have a few puffs to be ready for a dud . But the one tonight hadn't ever let me down before . My go to cigar . Finished my day , had dinner , sat down with my Cream soda over ice and kicked back lit it up then "wah wah " !!!! A bit like going to your favorite steak house after looking forward to it all week and it being tough and dry . There are certain meals I don't smoke a cigar afterward . For me a real spicy meal like chili or a heavy will ruin any cigar's taste for me . I won't even try . My taste buds even if I brush my teeth and use mouthwash will still effect my cigar for me . I am one who pretty well has a few cigars I stick with and don't try many different cigars anymore . My nephew on the other hand likes to try a new one every time .

Yup, certainly have. Every maker produces a dud sometimes.
Also see me review and the responses on it, for the Ave Maria Divinia I just did , in the reviews sub-forum. Good example I think.
I friggin love cigars

Yep you pretty well nailed it on the head with your review . It just happens some times . Quality control drops sometimes depending on who is doing it or what mood their in and even when doing their best it just happens at times .

Well I haven't gave up on my faithful cigar so I order a box this time like normal . I hope these don't come from the same batch as the 5 pack I got cause of the cost . Hate to waste my cigar allowance I got to use but as long been smoking these the odds should be good . Guess that is the gamble we take on buying boxes vs single . Boxes are cheaper the singles at least for mine . $6.66 vs $8.10 .

I certainly agree with you on how a cigar you were expecting good things from that ends up a dud in some manner, be it draw, burn, wrapper peeling or taste, just ruins you day until you can have another smoke that redeems it and salvages your day/evening.
Had that happen many times, typically from draw or burn issues as it seems more common than taste issues usually.

It's the Sweet Jane . Really like I can have a long smoke or just want a quicker one can grab a small one . I was hung on Montecristo Whites for quite awhile but sometimes you happen across a cigar and before you know it it's filling up your humidor !!! Still keep a few Montes around but they got pushed back
