Just curious to hear what some of you may have to say about ways we could improve the packing for our shipments? Throw in a Boveda pack? Something other than bubble wrap? Etc.
Would love to get your feedback and see about working your suggestions into our process.
Any other questions, comments, or suggestions on how we can improve the cigar shopping experience for you are more than welcome as well.
Thanks!
Thanks for thinking of us Ryan! I have never had any issues with Famous except for a non-working digital hydrometer which I was credited for from Famous! If anything maybe a small boveda for the packages that go further, but I get mine in 2 days which is nice

Gotta agree I'd rather them come without the Boveda or at least not one over 70RH. Ive gotten orders in the past, not sure if they were from Famous, with 72RH and even 75RH Bovedas. I appreciate the intent but thats just way too wet.
My only contribution would be that 5ers come in those awesome finger bags so we can reuse them

That is an awesome idea Cole.
Stamp them with the Famous logo so as they go around the country on those bomb runs you get the name out there Ryan.
Famous / CA is always my first choice and the packaging has always been great.
I'm very lucky that it's one day shipping for me so Boveda would be an unnecessary cost but probably would be a good idea outside the 2 day shipping circle. (Let those who want to opt out do so if they want to let them start lowering rh on the trip.)
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

Some kind of "cold" ship option in the summer would be nice...
I basically avoid cigar purchases in the summer because I would rather they don't sit in hot, hot, hot shipping trucks for days at a time. The places that I order my beer brewing supplies offer this to help protect yeast.

I appreciate the feedback! Glad to hear you are all generally very satisfied with our packaging and have made some great comments. The bovedas aren't entirely necessary especially for the shipments that aren't in transit for very long, would mostly just be an added measure for care on the longer shipments. They can always come in handy afterwards, and also a nice bonus if sending out bombs. I agree, if we were to decide to do this regularly, it should be an option that customers can choose to opt out of.
The 5er finger bags is a great idea though, I definitely think that's an idea worth implementing here. Especially if stamped with our logo. Thanks!

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Really cool idea but those packs only work for like one day. By the time I get my orders the pack is warm and the yeast have been on their own for however long. Even the yeast we get overnighted for the brewery usually arrives with a warm cold pack.
