Smoke that bad boy doing some yard work. I smoke a lot of stuff I normally wouldn't while I'm busy so the sticks usually end up being pretty good because they don't have enough of my attention to be terrible lol. While I have smoked a red dot I look down on them for two reasons. 1) I honestly think the profile is mediocre with a price thats more than double what the cigar should sell for and 2) regardless of the legal complications behind the name we all know theres only 1 true Cohiba and that classic Cohiba taste comes from Cuban leaf.
#2 is what it is but the price of Red Dots really gets to me because I see people get ripped off buying them for the "Cohiba" experience and thats not what they're getting. They're getting sold a name and normally just don't know better. But hell if you love them thats all that matters f*ck my opinion lol.

I've got some Boli PCs and BBfs from 07 that I have to start tackling. Time to re up my Boli stash as I've not purchased cigars in over a year. Cooler weather hopefully equals more time sitting by the campfire enjoying cigars. BoliS are my go to stick, just love them.
RIP Don DeBusk, I miss you more than you’ll ever know my good friend.

I have been buying and stocking up on short smokes. I love this fall weather and have been neglecting my lancers during the heat and humidity of the summer. Lately has been perfect weather for being outside and enjoying a cigar in comfort. I haven't had a lancero for at least 4 months and it's time to change that while the short winter smokes get happy.

I hear what you're saying, NC Cohibas are pretty expensive for the profile, which is why I only bought a 5er as part of a sampler when I discovered CI. I've never had a CC Cohiba so I have nothing to compare against. While I remember the NC being pretty good, my palate has evolved over my short smoking life (~3 years) so who knows what I'll think of it now.

Getting back to the topic, besides older sticks I like to smoke my bigger cigars in the fall. The nice weather allows me to enjoy the longer time outside. And campfires...love sitting around a fire taking my time to enjoy a good cigar.
    I'm not a Scientologist, I just build Xenu's spacecraft.

I was thinking the same thing as I went through this thread, perfect time for some lanceros before it gets to cold to sit outside for 2 hours
I don't have emotions, and sometimes that makes me very sad.

If the weather cooperates on sunday maybe I will finally get around to some of those Massive RG smokes I picked up. Might be a good day to sit on the front porch and watch the Bills.

I never looked down my nose at them, but you should get 2-3 at the price point they're asking. They're higher than the Hubble Telescope....
Like my father before me, I will work the land,
And like my brother before me, I took a rebel stand.

The crazy thing is I can buy CC Cohiba robos for essentially the same price or cheaper than the NCs.

Taking advantage of some early fall weather to enjoy a Tat Hyde tonight. Mainly the breeze coming off the outer bands of hurricane Joaquin but its cool out so I'll take it.

Well then, hey there my newest buddy!

On topic though, it's heading into summer here (spring is a short lived season between cold and damp, and hot and dry here) so there will be a fair few evenings aside to sit by the river on warmer nights. I have some 08 Mag 50s that one of will probably become a new years smoke, along with a few other larger sticks I wouldn't normally smoke any other time of the year.
