Bummin' Around
CI MISTAKES are rather good mild sticks, great with a cup of coffee in the morning, only a $1.75 each.
I also like Flor de Oliva Corojo as an everyday smoke, only $2.00 each.

Here are some that I noticed:
La Aurora Principes
Curlyhead, and Exquisitos
Anyone try any of these?
IMO, the only 'loss' you experience is the changing nuances of flavor you would normally experience in a long-fill stick. The taste you have is the taste you get, from start to nub. The pluses are numerous, with generally lesser cost being but one of them. (DE's Papas Fritas being a glaring exception, LOL). I never experience draw issues, except where a stick may be a bit too loosely packed. However, instead of hurting your lungs, it just requires less effort to keep it from burning faster. Never really encounter tunneling or canoeing, either. CI's Rocky Patel Fumas are the recent exception, which have provided me some burn consternation.
Other than Fumas, my most recent CI discovery is Villiger's medium-bodied BOLD, also available in a more mild connecticut wrapper. This is becoming one of my absolute favorites. Don Seville's are exceptionally mild and tasty, and have some very good factory packaging to ensure freshness until you decide on a humidor set-up you like. Asylum's Schizo brand is a winner, also..with a hint of spice on an otherwise mild blend. Cuban Delights natural (non-infused) are on my list, also. They also are blowing out something called the Don Jesus Corona Grande. Ugly, and loosely packed...I can't argue with the taste for 50c a stick! Great morning smoke.
I've also tried CI's Leonida's, Tiburoun Tiger Shark, PNR Fumas Petite Corona, and La Aurora Principes. I didn't care for those. I think it may have been the type of HTL binders used. It adds a tinge to the flavor I don't care for. I have no HTL bias, because Newman's Mexican Segundos is an absolute fave of mine, along with Marsh Wheelings(neither carried by CI).
I believe you could try the Principes with less risk by ordering a fiver through Famous Smoke, first. Hope that is some good direction to get you stared on cut-filler bundles.

Victor Sinclair Triple Corojos are surprisingly good for the price.

@SweetCigars bombed me with a Flor De Oliva torpedo that can be had for $2/stick. It was quite good for the price.

I had tried Backwoods way back when and thought they were OK, though I hadn't ever had a real cigar. I bought some the other day and found that I just don't care for them at all.
Looking around in the under $2 section at CI I see I can go with a cheaper cigar (I like a Robusto) or I could even go with some sort of cigarillo, which seems appealing in its own way. I figure I'll order up some CAO Gold Karats as I like their Robusto, but I'd also like some opinions on mild to medium cigars and cigarillos that aren't machine made. I'd prefer to have the option of buying a small bundle to ensure that I do enjoy them, but also as I don't have storage for too much more than about 30 standard cigars at the moment.

You, sir, want to be lookin' at Casa De Garcia. Nicaraguan, maduro, Sumatra, and Connecticut options, all DIRT CHEAP. Like $25 for 20 cheap. I would be wrong not to recommend JR alternatives as well.

Thanks for all of these suggestions fellas! I'm thinking next month that I'll be sampling many of these to find an El Cheapo to keep stocked around here.
With so many suggestions I may be back asking for help narrowing these choices down!
How can this be? CI sells 5 Avo Classic robustos for $40, and 5 CAO Gold robustos for $20. How can it be that a 5/5 sampler of each merely costs $35??? Did someone jack up the numbers?
